I'm a resident of Highlands, California. In 2010, I graduated from the University of Redlands, where I earned a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I served as a substitute teacher after graduating in numerous Orange County, California school districts. In 2012, I became a 7th grade world history and mathematics teacher in a San Bernardino, California charter school. My passion is teaching, and I am determined to make sure each and every one of my students succeeds. History and mathematics aren't the only subjects I like to teach; I also enjoy literature and writing. My teaching style involves getting to know my students well enough to understand their past experiences and their current level of understanding, and then relating new material to them. I try to teach children a love of learning which will continue throughout their lives.Subjects I am available to tutor include reading, writing, literature, phonics, grammar and mechanics, American history, European history, world history, social studies, religious studies, elementary math, arithmetic, pre-algebra, and study skills and organization. I teach all levels of students, including gifted and ESL. I am also available for summer tutoring and test preparation.In my spare time, I like to relax at the beach and read. I also like to run.
